Prayer, with its power to change reality, reveals the will that is deep inside us.
Prayer is a wonderful gift that enables us to experience feelings, to become close to the heart, to touch beauty, love, pain, and yearning. Prayer is forever renewed and when personal, is like a newly discovered treasure.
In each boxed set, there are 44 prayer cards that focus on different topics inspired by life’s experiences. Through these cards, one can find words for the whispers of the heart and inspiration for personal prayer. The cards are meant to help and cheer the soul. To connect within and to find direction and intention. The words on each card are a gateway through which to enter into a sanctuary of prayer.
The encounter with these cards, whether by individuals or groups, facilitates looking inward and experiencing the accompanying process of growth and healing.
They make a very special gift for a beloved person.
About Me
My name is Nufar Miriam Ben Barak. I am married to Navot and am the mother of four children. I am trained as a social worker and movement therapist.
I love to pray. Through prayer, I am able to feel deeply, be present, and listen with attention.
Through prayer, I am able to create and connect worlds. I was inspired by Rabbi Nathan from Breslov, a disciple of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov to write prayers. I saw how he looked in every corner of reality transforming his observations into prayer. I was moved by his capacity to write personal prayers in the “language of the heart”. And so, I began to engage in the writing of prayers. I wrote prayers to be recited at rites of passage, personal prayers for success and healing, prayers commissioned by others, and many prayers for myself. The day came when I felt a deep desire to create cards, prayer cards that would give inspiration and appropriate words of prayer to each and every woman and man.
In addition to the prayers, each card is illustrated with beautiful digital images by the artist David Kawena. Much thought and sensitivity were invested in producing these illustrations in order to intensify the personal experience by adding a visual dimension.
In each set, one prayer card is left blank, an invitation to add a very personal prayer. This card is intended for your own prayer on whatever subject you choose. I would be happy if you would share the prayers you have written with me.
